Fall 2013 Makeup Trends (Including Drugstore Options)

Burnt Orange
Gray to Deep Gray
Metallic Blue-Purple
Deep Brown
Glitter (whether it be added sparkle pieces, as seen in bottom left photo, or actual shadow)

*Tip: Add water, eye drops, or Mac Fix+ spray to the eyeshadow brush before picking up color. This will create a "wet" shadow application, which will intensify the colors such as the copper and blue-purple seen above.

*Tip 2: Not bold enough for full on deep color? Some of the runways featured a "wash" of the above eyeshadows as well. To achieve this, simply use less product and blend out harsh lines.

Drugstore Options To Try:
L'Oreal Color Infallible Eyeshadow in Endless Chocolate $8
L'Oreal Color Infallible Eyeshadow in Purple Obsession $8
L'Oreal HiP Metallic Shadow Duo in Charged $8
Nyx Cosmetics Deep Charcoal $4.50
MakeupGeek Gel Liner in Electric $7.99 HERE (Use as a base for a gorgeous blue-purple shadow look!)

Kohl (Kajal)

*Tip: When applying the silver liner try the technique shown in the photo above for a bold new look! Or take it one step further and fill in the area with a wash of color from the above listed shadows.

Drugstore Options To Try:
L’Oreal HIP Chrome Eyeliner in Silver Lightning $10
Rimmel London ScandalEyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner $4
Nyx Cosmetics Slide On Pencil in Golden Bronze $8

*Tip: Berry or Wine lips can be deepened to create dimension by lightly sweeping black or deep gray shadow in the section where the lips part, as seen in photo at top right corner.

Drugstore Options To Try:
Milani Color Statement Lipstick in Sangria $5
Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick in 04 $5
L'Oreal Caresse Shine Stain in Berry Persistent $10
Revlon Super Lustrous Creme Lipstick in Sultry Sable $6
Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Fig Jam $6
